Great afternoon playing at the beach near Pacific City Oregon...
I'm speechless......
Is it just me ......or does RUST come to mind?

not so much if you rinse well enough afterward. And probably not much worse than driving on some of the rust belt salty roads.
I still wouldn't do it but to each his own...

There was a thurough washing at the rental house after. Plus its river outlet so not as salty.

hopefully you didn't get any water in your drivetrain. I take it you have extended breathers and the like?

These are the first thoughts that come to mind? Ok I'll be the first to say looks like you had a great time. Way to put your rig to use.
And welcome to the forum.

Spending a lot of time duck hunting on the coast, I managed to start to have the cancer in the rocker panels of my 02 Z71 within 5 years....after that I swore off driving on the beach or salty mud/water.....then, somewhere I realized that I can't get to some of the places I want to go without it....what's the point of a "go anywhere vehicle" that I won't take everywhere....but, yes, thorough washing is important.....

One of the rare instances I take it to the dunes 5 miles away from the house! Luckily it was completely empty!

only *wannabe* mall cruisers. They don't have a true damage multiplier up front... :crybaby:

What part of Oregon is that middle picture taken in @cctl88 ? Amazing.

Its at Hells Canyon, border of Oregon and Idaho. It is the deepest river gorge in North America. two more pics. Oregon is just a beautiful state. Many climates and different terrains. This trail is only one of the many we like. (sorry guys, 1st pic has no LC in it).

Stopped on Washougal River Road after being turned around by a fire crew (we came up on a new forest fire in an area we were hoping to camp in).
