You can see the shadow of the truck out there, just not straight across. The sun was more behind the vehicle and the shadow is hitting that outcropping that slanted away from the camera so the shadow is all distorted.

Those are very cool pictures and a great looking rig. Looks like Utah looking east towards Colorado Rockies, but I take it it's CA?
It’s not far off of Hwy 190 heading into Death Valley a few miles before the Saline Valley turn off.
There is a lot more memorabilia and rock art there. Google earth gets you in the general area but it’s still a big desert out there. I have the latitude and longitude coordinates if you’re a fan and want them.

In other news the ARB bull bar arrive today and I have an appointment at Slee's Offroad next friday for a lift and sliders. I'l take some more "before" photos before I start all the work.

A few poseur shots of my new truck in DVNP over the weekend.
Looks like over a dozen IH8MUD folks and over a dozen EXPO folks have hit Death Valley within the past two weeks.
I covered some other areas this year, but I have the exact same shot as you from two years ago complete with turned wheels. (Linked since it's not a 100)

Christmas Tree Cutting
Every year the Colorado Land Cruisers volunteer with the U.S. Forest Service for their Christmas Tree Cutting event in Forest Park. This year I thought I'd dress up the 100 a bit.

Death Valley a few weeks ago.
'99, '00 and '01 100-Series, '13 Jeep JKUR (3rdCruiser's '98 replacement), '10 200-Seires, Jeeo Cherokee and 1 Sportsmobile.
[STRIKE]We all[/STRIKE] A lot of 100 owners here, but not including paflytyer,crap on the 200 series, but after seeing one in action, I think half of the 100 owners will be transitioning sooner or later.

Had a great time this weekend. Winched a few from ditches, lead a few lost tree hunters back in the right direction and helped a family who'd locked their keys in their car (after dark & -degrees) jimmy the door open...
Going to do it again this weekend if anyone would like to come along!
This community service is a great testament to the capability of a Land Cruiser and the good nature of the Land Cruiser owner.
