She (her name is AMY) is a 1998 lc100 4.7 V8 VXR Middle east spec. Mechanically strong but cosmetically flawed... a bit like me :)
LOTS of work to do on her, but thats one of the reasons i bought her... I enjoy tinkering.

^^^^ what did you have to pull him out???

^^ now that's funny! Too bad you couldn't tow out your winch line real quick while he wasn't looking just for the pic!

That does look good ! now when we taken it wheeling......

Whenever you are ready! I took it to some family land in Milledgeville a couple of weeks ago a got all the "break-in" pinstripes, so it is good to go (as long as I don't demolish the rocker panels).

Wow, your 100 does look especially good.

What did you do to lift it? It looks like maybe OME 1.5" in the rear and cranked stock T-bars up front

Havent done a whole lot yet... Just tires (285/75/16s), front bumper (TJM T-15), cranked the torsion bars, and installed the roof rack. I just got the Gamiviti - roof racks so the top is going to be a lot less flexy. Next up is the Slee - Toyota 100 Series Land Cruiser Rear Bumper , BumpItOffroad sliders and lift.

Yukon, I see you went wheeling with a bunch of 60's and 80's. I am just curious, how does the hundy stand up to those earlier year LC's? You never hear much comparison between the ages...

My 100 does great. It will definitely pull more wheelies in the front on the harder stuff with the IFS but i have no problem at all keeping up, a-trac really works there. This group does not do a whole lot of harder trails, so i have never really pushed it. Having the 100 armored all the way around now really gives me a lot more confidence too. Im sure the 80s and 60s would win on the harder stuff. Its tough to compete with those solid axles and greater ground clearance. Although, some are fully opened diff, so my A-trac really gives an advantage there. On there other hand, one guy has an 80 triple locked on 37 KM2s. That will always be out of my, or any hundy's league. However, on the light to medium trails, i think the 100 is superior. When the old LCs are bouncing and bumping on the small stuff the IFS and AHC is actuality very smooth and would allow much faster speeds than the whole trail line usually goes. If you want a which is better discussion just search 80v100 and you will have enough reading to get you till August. That horse died a long time ago, and man has it been beaten since.
