Nice lic plates. Can those be order today from DMV?
You can order them online. Random “legacy plates” they say takes 2 months, but I just got some a they came in 1 week. Custom legacy plates takes 3 months. Waiting on a set I ordered in late August, still waiting....

It does take a long time. Not quite as long as getting the good folks at Global Entry to add this truck to my Sentri account, though. Govt (in)efficiency all the way around!

Took a ride this past weekend with the local overland club to North Carolina

The way we start every adventure

I truly do hate mud and don't run trails. Living in Idaho, I wanted a Land Cruiser (LX-470) because it's a great do it all vehicle and my daily driver. I do drive a lot of two-track and 4x4 roads in the South Hills and SNRA and I love the no drama aspect of these rigs. Mine is stock with the running boards removed. Recent tires are KO2's. Parked at the beginning of the trail system (mountain bike and hiking) at Auger Falls in the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls.

I've now had this rig for eight years and have spent nothing on repairs save for a broken power antenna. I did the timing belt when it hit 95k (it had in the 60's when I bought it in 12/09) and normal maintenance and that's it. It gets washed twice a year whether it needs it or not.
