Elsie received her first battle scar... well one that's more than just pinstripes. I went downstate with a couple of friends from here (@N22, @NyNomad, and @xxxswoodyxxx) and we went on a new trail, which was short but sweet. Long story short, I stupidly stopped in the middle of the muddy, rutted out trail and when I went to go again, my ass end swung around and smashed the rear corner of my bumper into the bank. Ian pulled me out and it's only after I got out did I see what happened.

I was upset but realized it's only paint, and I'm lucky no other damage was done. Plus, I discovered that body panel is starting to bubble underneath the plastic bumper cover, so when it goes to the bodyshop, that's going to be taken care of as well!

Here's a few pics - I have many more but I'm tired as hell, so I won't be uploading everything!

Here's when I initially got stuck... stupid me, I know better than to stop in a situation like that.:bang:

And the damage, the mud is acting as a body filler so you can't really see how bad it was. We were able to push it out but it's going to have to be replaced or at least repainted!

Haha, there's really not much I can do myself, the bumper needs to be completely refinished as it's spiderwebbed and warped.

Completely flushed the undercarriage and frame, blasted the hell out of the nooks and crannies - that mud stinks like a**! Still gotta buff some of the pinstripes, the major one below the gas door from yesterday came out for the most part, will probably put more passion into it later but I just want to get the worst of the crap cleaned up.

Plus, she's gonna be needle-scaled by a friend of mine, repainted, and then Krowned before winter!

I've been working The Black Knight trying to reach your level of paint perfection. With under 60K on the clock and OMG clean, but still yours stands out above all others.

The wife and I went to the 2nd Toyota of Knoxville Dirt and Donuts show last weekend. It was a good excuse to clean up the 100 and hang out with some local Land Cruiser guys. Parked behind me was the show winner and proud owner of a newly restored FJ40.

I was in Ireland for over a week and drove most of the southern part. I saw this guy on the ring of kerry. The only 100 series that I saw. Thought I would share.

Wife and I were in southern Ireland from 9/11-9/21. Beautiful place! Saw maybe 3 100s. Also, after driving those narrow roads in a tiny Renault, I know why his passenger side looks like that....

Convince my best friend to buy / invest in a 100 series. He is going to fix it up a bit, play with it, and supposedly sell it in a couple months..... sure..... This is the 3rd person I convince to buy a 100 series in the last 6 months . Perhaps I am an enabler? Here’s his 98/ locked w/220k. Pretty clean exterior in champagne pearl. He is the third owner. Picked it up Saturday morning. Yesterday we already torqued the torsion bars, added 1” rear spacers, and removed the running boards. He’s on the fast track! The other 2 LX are my cousin’s that I convinced to buy 6 and 3 months ago. The car sells itself. What can I say, everyone is happy ‍♂️
