Two more new to me beers this weekend:

Lagunitas "Born Yesterday" - fresh/wet hopped Pale Ale. It was delicious. If you like hop-forward beers go find some of this.

Brooklyn Brewery "Insulated" - dark lager - nice roasted/toasted malty flavors, finishes dry with a subtle hop flavor. Really outstanding winter beer.

I've gotta say that I have finally found the Pluff Mud Porter and am digging it.

River Rat Double IPA last night was mighty fine. Especially when she brought it out as a pint to make up for not having my first choice. I might be alone with this choice but I'm not much of an IPA guy so my faves are usually a bit odd.

I've gotta say that I have finally found the Pluff Mud Porter and am digging it.

Cool! Holy City is my favorite local brewery - and we have several that are very good. Next time you are in town, you ought to stop by. They always have something creative on tap that won't be canned for public sale. Pluff Mud and Follicle Brown are the beers they experiment with most often.

I can't think of the others off-hand, but Palmetto, Revelry, and Westbrook all have great beers in their Taprooms. Going to the different breweries in our cruisers would be a cool event - although we have to convince Tim not to bring his Cherokee.

On a semi-related note I was thinking it would be cool if we got a crew together to ride up to the Sewee Outpost some wednesday for one of the Barn Jam's Barn Jams

Maybe something to do in the spring before it gets too hot?

Ever Green IPA

North West Pale Ale from Deschutes

Stone Cali Belgique IPA (Casual Fridays at my new job Kick Ass BTW)

One of my old favorites from when I used to live in Cali... hadn't seen it in NC and had almost forgot about it... it is a Brutal IPA

This one wasn't my favorite IPA i've ever had... most likely will be the last time I do so

One of the new Beer Camp offerings from Sierra Nevada.... very tasty

A very special IPA from Cole Brewing down the street from me. Overlander IPA... they don't do bottles anymore (but I have been speaking to the owner about doing another batch) But they did still have some of the glasses lying around and I got a growler full of it.
Actually I bought 10 of their glasses since I liked it soo much. @CharlestonG8R I have one with your name on it

Two great colorado brews and a Californian

This is in my top 10 beers of all time.... very exclusive club

Two very different types of pumpkin ales... one aged in Rum Barrels and one in Bourbon 18% and 15% respectively and a good ale from Russian River aged in wine barrels.

Christmas gift from the office.... very nice Gulden Draak is always a winner

Had these on Xmas when Andrea came to visit. The complete "Demon of Ales" series

all had 15-18% one a stout one an oak aged ale and one a grand cru. Very good. The Mephistopheles Stout is actually a 2008 vintage I found at the local beer temple/cave

And another Stone to enjoy on xmas day

Thanks, Al! I've made it my mission in life to find Pliny the Elder and Heady Topper (my uncle lives up there but has been unable to come through - unlike @RedHeadedStepChild 's contact...). The GS is readily available around here and I've drank a ton of them, thanks for the recommendation. You had a chance to hit Diamond Knot yet? Their Industrial IPA and Hefeweizen were favorites of ours every time we went to Everett.

Sadly RR pulled out of the washington market so i'm stuck having my peeps send me some from other states or driving to Portland to search for it.

After doing a blind taste test of Pliny and Heady Topper against my beer last year i've come to realize I can make some damn good beer. It scored well with the 15 beer snobby friends I had over to do the test.

But I think I may change it up a little when I brew again in summer. So look for Triple Locked Volume II on a shelf no where near you..... Just kidding i'll send you one this time if you cover the shipping

No problem - I missed out on Volume I when you moved... I'm long overdue for a trip to Seattle, though. I was getting up there on a monthly basis for a while but it's been a few years now.
