Wow I have been busy 😅. I have been wide open with work and event stuff. And have not been able to do a lot with the 40 but she is ready to go . I installed a new rear 3rd (went with a ARB ) and it drives on the street better now . And. I installed a larger alternator. Just pulled the hardtop off. And ready for the Rubicon and Fordyce . This morning I was asked if I would like to have it at SEMA 🤩. WOW. !! So as soon as Trek is over in Aug it’s time for huge cosmetic make over .

Well Rubithon update . The 40 ran up and down that trail so much I don’t even want to sit in it for a while 🤦🏻‍♂️. A couple things . I wish it got better mpg . But the new drivetrain sure is fun . I did have 2 hiccups. 1 when one of the trailers blew a bead I used my compressor to fill the tire No biggie. But the next day when I was running out yet again 🤦🏻‍♂️ I hit my compressor switch and noticed it kept running 🤔 first I thought did I snag a line on something 🤷‍♂️ everything looked fine . I could hear a hissing sound and thought. Well that sucks I somehow blew the rear arb that is brand new 🤦🏻‍♂️. So I drove out with no lockers . I am not sure why but the next day I disconnected my air hose that fills my tires and like magic no more compressor running and lockers were good to go 😀. Turns out it was the air chuck leaking and I just had to push the little thing in the center and it was fine . . The other issues was my steering . I had noticed I had a small leak. But honestly was unsure of where it was coming from . I didn’t have 10 seconds to try and find it . Well on my final trip out going up Cadillac ( I was towing a trailer ) there was a rig broke making the turn next to impossible for me with the trailer. So I had to take a line that required about 450 of my horsepower’s 🙏 and hang on . As soon as I cleared the obstacle I felt I had no power steering 🤦🏻‍♂️. At that point I was not stopping And drove out with no PS. That about killed my hands . That night I found it was just a hose that had split . I think my Bib flexed so much it actually pushed that line down 🤔. We cut the line the next day and it was good to go . I stopped and got new fittings also. . I think I am going to clearance the bib a little so that does not happen again . . Rubidyce in a few weeks then it’s time to do a tear down and make her pretty .

I forgot I even ordered this stuff I have had so much going on this past week 🙄. But I lost my gas cap 🤦🏻‍♂️. My fault 109 percent . So I got a new cap and some new tail lenses since I cracked 1 last year . And since I was making an order I got the blower screen. I never had that part . At some point I am going to relocate my battery and hook the oe heater back up . Soon

Hey, those hoses are gonna rub on the bib, " it'll be fine " ..............
My front axle was full of water, other than that it was business as usual.
I did confirm that over a weeks time, sitting in decent sun, that 150watts of solar & 2 batts will run a fridge & starlink & lights at night without issue.
The fridge is 24/7, the Starlink we ran for probably 6 - 8 hrs a day & led lights for camp at night, I was impressed with the recovery time, it was back to full voltage in the morning before I was done with breakfast. It took me 4 years and 3 panels to finally sort out a durable, functional mounting solar panel that I leave alone and it just works, I use semi-flexible solar panels and I will say if you flex them they fail, the semi-flex refers to the ability to mount at a curve oir bend NOT that they can be flexed at times, that repeated flexing will fail the panel.
 
Wow. You kept mentioning it as you were building. Got something else to build? Looks like you just got it dialed in on the last few trips.
It’s working great. I am not 100 percent sure yet .
