Yep. But I hope you do it in any case and document it for the rest of usIt definitely seems unlikely that the starter would fail, particularly a new one. Probably over conservative here.

Minty fresh starter in the house. All sealed up by my 'local' Florida Lexus dealer. On the shelf for when it's warmer.
fancy upgrade from the $20 pop up poop pod!Took advantage of the st paddy’s day sale at Ironman to get an ensuite awning.
I’m usually able to avoid being marketed to, but when a similar product got a strong reckie from Ronny Dahl and AStPW I put it on my sometime at the right price list. I’m basically now an honorary Austral South African ian.fancy upgrade from the $20 pop up poop pod!
By my math you're nowhere near $15k.I just crossed $15k on the build. Is that excessive? I mean, I don’t even have a front bumper or winch!
or a rtt?
and only one drawer!
As my LC is my company car, I need you to talk to my office manager. She once printed out the expense report on my truck after I told her that there was no way I spent close to $20k on my truck. The report had tires and absolutely every consumable coded to my asset number.By my math you're nowhere near $15k.
You can't count consumables when doing your build. So bigger tires don't count. Ditto for upgrading brakes and shocks (though I know you have an LX, not a lifted LC).
Anything you can easily move to another vehicle is only a partial cost. So if you spend $2k on a drawer setup or $1k on a fridge, but it's mostly swappable into a future LX/300 then you should only count half the cost. Or if you just moved it over from another prior build, even if you followed this logic previously this time it's $0 cost since you already had it lying around
Finally be sure to subtract any expenses you would've otherwise had. Bought a winch? Well if you used it to get yourself out of a jam when you were wheeling alone then you just saved the cost of a very expensive tow so it's already paid for itself and thus you can't count it. Bought a front bumper and then hit a deer? You just made money on the damage avoided!
It's GAAP accounting... (Geoff's Aggressive Accounting Principles)
Well, for company accounting those probably count. But for explaining to your wife why there are all these truck-related charges on your credit card, they totally don't.As my LC is my company car, I need you to talk to my office manager. Finger hovering over buy on cart with 5 gal pressure tank and fittings for a shower setup. $200. Can’t decide if I want this now or want to put together a water solution under the sub tank and get this now. Maybe the water tank will make it redundant? Not stoked about 80 lb on the roof.
