Hey Jeff your water tank idea may have gotten more votes if you made previsions to run it threw your console cooler. Nice thread idea.

GSI Glacier Stainless Java press

After 6 years of bush bashing I finally broken my glass coffee press at Schwartz Lake Wednesday evening - fell off my table:bang:. I liked the glass and stainless construction, because I could keep the coffee warm on low burner on my stove. Many other glass ones have plastic bottoms.
Yesterday I replaced it with a "GSI Glacier Stainless Javapress".
It is heavy duty double walled stainless steel with a broad bottom. I made coffee this morning and put it in my fridge after my first cup and 60 minutes latter it was still warm enough to enjoy. The lid locks and so might work as a thermos along the trail.
It should do the job, while not cluttering up my stove while making breakfast as the last one did.

does a dancer (or at least a good looking mermaid) come with it ?

How did you manage that?

Not sure, I can only assume it got too hot. It screeches like a banshee now as soon as you turn it on. :frown: I'll rip it apart and hopefully repair it... or at least find what went wrong.

Well that sucks - where did you have it mounted?
Mine stays pretty cool while working, but it's mounted by a sliding window that I open and feed the airline out.

Mine seems to stay somewhat cool as well, my feed wire gets quite warm after running for 15 minutes though.
Timed it yesterday, filled all 4 315's from 25 to 50 in 16 minutes.

edit: and to keep on topic, the PUMA is a great idea :)

Mounted in my storage box in the rear of the truck. However, air gets to it easily through my back seat which folds down. I dunno :frown:

I have a 24 volt PUMA for sale left over from my Taiwan order last year.

Glenn, I emailed you but in case I got the addy wrong - if you still have this I'll take it. When you're back from your WA trip let me know.

Looks like I am lucky... there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the Puma after all. On closer inspection the hose from the compressor to the tank (I have split them up) is ruptured in two places!

We Puma fanboys accept your apology :grinpimp:

Glad it turned out to be no big deal.
