It took less than an hour last night to load her up with all the extra parts and components that were part of the sale, less than 10 minutes to get the paperwork squared away and the last minute instructions issued. She fired right up, seemed happy with her new owner, looking forward to other adventures.

17 years together, the last remnant of my previous life in Venezuela...too many trails to count, five countries and thirty eight states visited, college and grad school graduations, our honeymoon, brought my two boys home from the hospital...a 15-yr daily driver and expedition rig and companion.

I'm sad to see her go but happy that she's going to a good home. David Gonzalez, a friend and fellow member of LSLC, will be daily-driving her and taking family trips and using her a lot more frequently than I could, and that's cool. The sales process was slow and frustrating and fell at times like a a series of interviews, but from the start it was clear that David was the right guy, and then it was just a matter of hammering out the details.

I'm kind of in a daze right now, lots of stuff to think about, but wanted to share this bit of news...

Thanks for all the help over the years, folks, I cannot say how much I appreciate it!:beer:
at the cliff's edge (Small).webp

I have a personal record of owning a vehicle for 28 months, that is my longest ever. If I had that cruiser, granted I know nothing of it but the picture you posted, I think your 17 years would only be a start. Maybe I missed a post but do you have plans for another one?

Make sure to inform the new buyer that we'll be watching...
thanks for being a part of the community!

Meet David yesterday..he is very excited! :)
I will be nice to keep such a great truck in the texas club....who knows Henry, you might buy it back some day!

Sorry Exiled! Gratz David! Didn't I meet you at a garage sale last month??

WOW..........never thought the day would come!

After all that, I would have a really hard time getting rid of it.

I'm sure it sucks to see it go, but it sounds like it's got a good new home. Thankfully, some high school kid's dad didn't buy it for him to go out and destroy.

HC, With a chapter closing, a new one opens. You've got a great 100 series. Now, you can load her up with mods!

Congrats Dave, I look forward to many rides in it!

THAT'S AGOOD LOOKING RIG YOU GOT,AT LEAST IT'S GOING TO A GOOD HOME AND YOU GET TO SEE IT ON OCCASIONS.THAT'S A LONG TIME RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A RIG AND IT'S OWNER,I HAVE A TOY TRUCK THAT I BOUGHT IN 93 AND STILL GOING,BEEN AROUND TO MANY TIMES AT BOTH ENDS OF CALIFORNIA AND SOME PARTS OF NEVADA,NEVER LEFT ME BEHIND.IT WILL BE HARD FOR ME TO LET HER GO IF EVER THAT TIME COMES.I FINALLY JUST GOT MY FIRST FJ60 3 WEEKS AGO,I GOT ALOT ALREADY PLANNED FOR IT.

A sad parting, I'm sure

That is a sweet-looking load, man. What motivated you to sell it?

I had an old '77 Ford truck. It was my first truck. I sold it to my brother. A year later, I bought it back from him.

Best to you.
