...Was tempted to check it out but something must be amiss.
that's what I was thinking just based on how long it's been up for sale. But the pics look good/ :meh:

Pics do look good! I am too far away to simply run over there. They responded to my text a couple of times w/ some single word answers that didn't answer my questions.

Pastor Joe sounds a lot like Lt Smith stationed in Bumfukistan.:meh:

At least it has a front diff...

This is interesting for sure... For 12k that is super cheap. No photos though

I bought a transmission from the guy a year and a half ago. It has been for sale off and on since before that. It runs well and sounds good. The interior was very rough back then but he wanted $2000 less for it also.
Its white with KM2's and doesn't look bad. I can't comment on the engine install, I did not look under the hood or inspect it.

Im thinking this is the truck built by the guy in Utah.

Not sure if it's a deal or not but almost 100% sure this is my old 100 series. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ctd/4091744322.html Besides the transmission transfer case and diffs had the oil changed at the same time. The rear engine seal was done also. 90K was also done at CBT. besides the timing belt had the water pump, hoses and serpentine belt done. I purchased it from Big Two certified. It was five years old with just over 60K. CBT replaced the exhaust manifolds, upper CV boots and hood struts under warranty. I used Castrol 5W-30 synthetic oil in the engine. Wasn't traded in for any major problem just wanted the 5.7 and more room inside. Only known issue was the driver's door lock would fail when it was hot. Bought the part but never got around to installing since it wasn't a DD. Almost all the miles I put on it were highway between homes. Other than the first two years I owned it it was parked in a garage. Not sure about PO but there was no side of sun damage. Interior was a little rough when I bought. I used rubber floor mats and covered the seat so the interior was no worse when I traded it in. Was a AZ vehicle and I washed the underside regularly during the winter. So no rust issues.

Oh and just to let everybody know the front end is there, complete and works fine.

Different ad same vehicle no price but this ad has pictures. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ctd/4091290380.html I believe ads go back to late August so who know how much they would take.

You bring up a good point. Whereas I would quickly pick the 45 over the fully restored 62 for me personally (if there was no thought of reselling obviously), there are many that look at vehicles as investments and for that kind of money, it seems the safe and measureable/comparable standard is the "restored" vehicle.

I have seen so many customized vehicles sell for well under what has been invested into them. I believe the unknown is too much for most people to handle when it comes to customs.
