Hey Dave - heads up that this week is a vacation week for many of the local schools, so the Aquarium is slammed. We went yesterday and got there around 11:00am to find a half hour line outside the door. They did have a heated tent and served hot chocolate. When we left around 2:00pm, there was no line.Last day of work for me this week. We are heading to Boston tomorrow after we close on our refi. Staying at a nice hotel, swimming in their pool and basically taking a Day-cation.
Going to the aquarium and the Shepard Fairey exhibit at the ICA. Should be fun.

The short of it is the guy is crazy and would make my life hell. In spite of having no money, I decided against being around him.
The longer version is a craigslist ad advertising looking for someone to brutalize old american muscle cars. I think the ad is still up, "muscle car" will probably find it. I have most or all of the skills listed and I'm reasonably intelligent, so I get a meeting with the guy.
He doesn't actually have a position doing the advertised work, and maybe he won't. I think he was just fishing for neat people. He keeps trying to get me to cough up a business plan, and yawns on and on. He's one of those delightful people with whom you can have a two hour long meeting and not know what happened. I had two meetings like that.
I knew he was crazy, but there was a ton of money flying around, and really cool things *could* happen. I was willing to give him a shot, in spite of him saying he hates Greeks. WTF? Most people at least hide that they're racist, not bring it up in the first 20 min. He also managed to talk about my friend's boobs. Did I mention he's crazy?
Something solid happened the third two hour meeting I had with this guy, but that wasn't something that involved me. I don't think he was stringing me along, he just didn't know what he wanted to do, and I wasn't going to tell him. Oh yeah, he managed to use "Jew" as a verb. For those of you who don't know, I'm half Chinese. The racist card doesn't usually come up so early if you look like you could be the target. Did I mention he's crazy?
Now he tries to set up another meeting, with more folks who responded to the ad, and I wouldn't mind spending the time if it was going somewhere I'd like, but I called it quits at this point. He emailed me to make sure I'd be there, and I was quite "into my cups" when I responded telling him I wasn't interested because I thought it would be stressful.
I got a nasty email response, but now I never need to have another conversation about him.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm not really into drama. I'm glad that's over.

sounds like you made the right choice! Between the racist crap
(my stepdaughters are both mixed race so we know how that feels)
and the drama its easier to just eliminate it now rather than put up
with it and wish you hadn't.

Its comical but sorry to hear you had to deal with that. Sounds like he was taking advantage of the current economical situation.
