Well. Its come to at some point tomorrow and Saturday I'm going to repull the engine wiring harness and rebook up everything. And hopefully it'll start. The ecu checks out fine too..

I'd make sure your injectors are firing fuel. Sounds like that might be the issue.
Also reading over your posts about a lift. Don't spend 1k on springs. That's retarded. I just picked up a set of old man emus (ARB's brand) for about 100 bucks a spring brand new. The front are side specific to "try" and level the rig. I got 3"+ lift and am super happy with the ride quality. The truck barely leans. I notice it but you really have to look for it. Let me know if you want before and after pics

  • I have always needed at least 3" lift to clear the 33" tires I ran. They will rub.
  • 3" of lift will cause bump-steer with the push-pull steering.
  • 3" of lift is required for cross-over steering. It won't work with stock height suspension.
  • I have Marlin cross-over steering on my 4Runner, no problem. Love it. Just be aware that the aftermarket rod ends they sell are junk. You will be visiting the dealer for real FZJ80 ends in the near future.

Pappy, what is bump steer? I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing it with my lifted push pull steer setup.

I'm going to recheck injectors today and go through the computer even more today to check it all along with double check everything is connected. And yes I know it seems like a lot for springs but I don't want a lift and nows the time to do it since I have the money and time during the summer and school year.

Nope! I have a wrecked truck that'll be for the mountains with a lift. I did figure out my issue. Bad gas.

Well. Its all finished in the engine bay. Just need to do a flush so the old coolant is finally out then put in nice green coolant. Then install the gas tank once it gets here.

I didn't put ac in. I have everything to put it in as the truck I pulled everything has ac but I don't think I'll need it with the amount of windows I can open.

So a few issues I forgot. The reverse lights still need to be hooked up and 4wd indicator still does as well. And I need to get 4wd to work too I believe.

Ok, where did you get the OME springs for 100 bucks? Craigslist? I might do new springs in the spring, but the prices are holding me back, esp. with our Canuck buck imploding quickly.

Hey mudder could you take a pic of all the AC stuff that sits on the passenger fender? Like the idle up and stuff

I can do that tomorrow once I'm back home.

Well I have brake lights now forgot to hook them up. All that's left is reverse lights reinstall all the dash and stereo install gas tank then I should be moving.

Here's a shot of the finished engine bay. Well as finished as I can get it. Those fuel lines will be getting cut down I just have to get it moving to get it down to the mechanic who can cut them down for me.

Well I was wiring the radio in and found out the constant hot battery wire (blue and yellow) has a short or isn't making the proper connection so the radio won't power on. I tried to get around it but now it always shuts off. So I'm just going to run a wire from the battery to the radio so its always hot but will turn off when the ignition is off

The radio needs both constant hot, and switched.

Yes. Which it would have if I find something that's hot all the time or go straight to the battery as I believe there's a short somewhere and I really don't want to pull the dash back apart.

I seem to remember the radio constant hot comes off the Dome light fuse. It doesn't draw much current, even when the radio is on, as it only keeps the presets in memory.

Or maybe it was just the clock.

I can look it up when I get home. Those factory Wiring Manuals are excellent, if you can find one on eBay.
