Got the passenger side windows and mechanisms removed. What a pain in the ass.
Added the shock tower brace.....mostly so I can mount up the rest of the Sniper and ignition boxes and make sure it all fits.
The window rail area is now painted black. Most of this area is covered by some stainless trim and weather strip. I think the black will look good and blend in with everything. The bottom part of the door jam will be blue.
Inventoried the interior pieces. The original kick panels were falling apart. Luckily had some new ones in the stash. They were blue, so I used the vinyl interior dye paint stuff and made them black. They turned out pretty good.
Today was overcast and not too hot. I cleaned, prepared, and vinyl died the back seat. It turned out pretty good and is way better than the orange.
In between coats, I cleaned up the rear interior panels. Sprayed them with some Armour All and they look pretty good.
Thanks to Jay for making me a plug for this egr port in the intake manifold. Fits great.
Cleaned up the trunk. Painted the hinges and bits black. Then used some trunk splatter paint.....but ran out after 1 coat. Need to get more. I think it's gonna turn out good.
Found more paint locally and gave it a few more coats. I think it turned out pretty good. I like the contrast with the gray fuel tank and black hinges. The trunk lid and trunk jam will all be blue.
Been figuring some things out and more disassemble. I am procrastinating the body work.....but that's gonna end soon.
Only picture worthy item is my solution for the upper radiator hose. I welded a bead at the ends of the tube to help the hose clamps.
Got the new hvac system. It's by Classic Auto Air. Looks pretty good on first impressions.
Installed a new battery. Started putting together the condenser, dryer and mounting plates.
Looking good

Since this is a Cruiser site, my LX470 lent itself to being a paint drying rack.
Working on the air conditioning system. Got the condenser, dryer, and some lines mocked up. There's a factory indentation in the core support that needed to be opened. Fits good so far.
Nice work

Thank man.
Despite being 116 degrees today, i got some time in on the 68. Had my swamp cooler rolling for a workable 90 degrees in the garage.
Got the condenser mounted for good with pressure switch and harness. Mounted a new voltage regulator. Gonna focus on getting all the engine bay stuff mounted. Then hose and wiring routing.
I really need to do the body work and paint but it's just too hot for that lately. Might have to pull an overnighter to get it done.
Anyways.....
Working on loose ends. Starter is now bolted in and wired. Main engine ground is done. Got the pcv and brake booster hoses attached. Transmission module too. Working on wiring mock up to figure out where to mount the ignition box and coil (Sniper stuff). Planning routes for AC hoses too.
Mounted the coil and located where the ignition box will fit. Need to get hardware to mount that. Plus another gratuitous engine shot.....
