Save me one Al if it's not too late, would love to give it a sample! Happy to split it with someone at LR to spread the wealth.

 R

was all out...... But I asked Andrea if we can take one out of our personal stash of 5. Had to ask her first since we both put the work into these. You got the very last one. I had thought I had set one aside for you anyway.

got to find a way to get it to you soon though. Maybe mud ship :)

Pretty much the best present ever from the wife. From left to right- Stone Ruin-Ten IPA, Samaels Oak Aged Ale, 2 Founders Imperial Stouts, Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, and one of our home brews.......woot, beer heaven. 3 favorite IPAs my favorite aged ale and a damn good stout.

What's the price??? My beer allowance is being eaten up with all my home brew stuff right now..... Guess ill have to start charging to break even on the next few. $80 for me to drink 6 beers ain't cutting it.... Doh!!!! :)

Went to Kansas City, tried a Boulevard Pop-up Session IPA... Pretty legit... But I may have been jaded by my love affair with my Z-Man from "joe's of Kansas"(fka Ok Joes)... Brisket, cheese, pickles, BBQ sauce, and onion rigs on a bun

Side note, I also ordered take out from Gates BBQ, the Togo box literally made a loud thud when they put it on the counter... Then another heavy box appeared... Too exhausted for beer, good choice in hindsight after 8 lbs of meat ( burnt ends, brisket, ribs, and fries and pickles)

^^Nice work JR - I just moved here from KC - you got the best of the "new" BBQ and one of the best of the classics right there :)

ZMan on Texas Toast is my favorite sandwich in the world.

I'm sure you've had Arthur Bryan's ribs? If not, maybe next time.

Pop Up Camper is my favorite from Boulevard - - I like the Doublewide IPA as well.

Funny story on Boulevard is that it is a cool story, etc, but most KC folks think of it as average beer. When I was out in Sonoma, I visited The Girl and the Fig in the square and was looking to have some beer. They had this stuff from a brewery up the valley called Pliny the Younger on tap as well as something from Boulevard. I was thinking - -these two are not in the same class of beer :) I fell in love with West Coast beer that day even more. The next day I got to visit Lagunitas.

Most is <$15. I will get you one "on the house" if you want and trade you for one of yours!? :)

On Texas toast????? That's a tremendous insider secret... Given the long lines and the staff's urgency to move us through the line; I never would dare substitute or get creative... Now I know for next time.

Yes, been trying to hit up the Fab Four for comparison: OK joe's, Jack Stack's, Gates and Arthur Bryant's... Each has their own strengths and merits...

As for other boulevard concoctions, I'm a big fan of 6th glass and tank 7

I was there in April of 2013. According to the RR website PTY is available per the following, so they either lied or it was PLE, or whatever:

Availability
Pub draft only, VERY limited distribution locally and to distributors on draft only, seasonal- released at our pub the first Friday of February and is available for just 2 weeks, available at select accounts during February.

The point was the Boulevard beer being on next to the Russian River and the fact that what we call average beer in our location can be cool in other locations.

I'm retarded..... That's what happens after that day of work yesterday. Somehow I read Sonoma as Sedona. In Sonoma it may have been PLY. Rare that the line wasn't around the block but much more likely in Sonoma than Sedona.

From my recent trip to Brazil:

It's funny how I unknowingly picked out a beer from Eugene, OR while in Brazil:

can't wait to try it. although it might actually kill me. Making a spiced beer is always tricky

Few from the last week.

Not going to say my ipa holds a candle to these two greats but I did a taste test with my last heady, pliny and triple locked with about 8 people that I consider really beer knowledgeable and they said it was damn good even compared to the current champs. I'm not going to say what I think since i'm biased either way but I really do think it turned out damn good.

Pretty damn good and if you are a fan of australian hops you will be in heaven.

the newest version of wOOt Stout is on tap at the saucer. If you've never had it you owe it to yourself to get some.

If anyone sees it in bottles grab me one and i'll pay you for it.
