saw that a few weeks back. Still amazes me, if you were to ask me where the most taps in one bar are id say, London, Munich, Bejing, sand Diego county, Sonoma county, Denver, Portland. That's a huge plus for NC. Strange it isn't Asheville but ill be checking that place out in a few weeks.

had a few over the last few weeks

Also bottled my beer last friday, so ill shoot for opening one next friday.
It was a recipe my friend and I came up with to get as close to Pliny as we can so i'll drink my other bottle of Pliny when I open one to see how close I get. Most likely not in the same ball park but should be pretty good even though

Here are the local/regional breweries I am enjoying at the moment:

Old Hickory: Death by Hops and others
Foothills: Jade and others
Anything from Burial or Haw River

I am looking for local breweries that are attempting "west coast" hoppy beers.

Drinking a lot of Ballast Point, Lagunitas, Stone, Bear Republic right now, too.

I am probably drinking 4x's as much beer since I moved here!

:)

Would be fun to do tastings were people come over to drink your beer and bring a bottle of something in exchange . . .

Coming soon to a fridge near you. It came out damn good.

Yeah, went there last night before the My Morning Jacket show and it was a real let down. There are TONS of taps, but not nearly all of them are in operation yet. Also, they have it broken into floors, so if you are on the second floor (national and international) you can't order a NC beer. Really stupid IMO. We'll see where they are in a few months, but right now it's slow and not overly impressive. With that said, the food we had was good and the building itself is really cool - very outdoorsy feel and rustic decor.

Two that come to mind are the west coast style ipa from carolina brewery and woody and wilcox IPA from NODA.

Also some of the monthly ones from foothills are good for west coast style ipas. Asheville brewing and Green Man have had them also aswell as Olde Hickory and Bird Song.

with the beers I make i'll try to keep ones that age well for the xmas party. Sadly the triple locked IPA won't so i'll send you one if you want.

Enjoying something I wish we could get in NC ... Bent Nail IPA on draft by Red Lodge Ales

In Bozeman, MT for an interview with Oracle tomorrow ...

Wish I could figure out how to get some of this home with me ...

I was in Stowe VT for a few day. I was hoping to bring some Heady Topper south with me so I went on a Heady hunt Friday - hit 7 stores on the day of delivery and all were sold out. I was told at each store that you have about 15 minutes after delivery until it is all gone. apparently people have been driving in from all over and sitting in the parking lots until the deliveries occur. Sadly, I am Heady free.:crybaby:

Labels are in..... looks great. All those that messaged me after my first FB and post on here about getting one will have one held for them.

It's also been added to the untappd registry so give me some good reviews!!!

Save me one Al if it's not too late, would love to give it a sample! Happy to split it with someone at LR to spread the wealth.
