I agree, it allows for much more control.

Exactly. It is so much easier to gently ease over an obstacle with an automatic, left-foot braking as necessary to retain control.

@Markuson agreed. Sometimes a clutch is awesome and sometimes it's an unnecessary burden. Like with this guy (who does all sorts of stuff wrong, lack of proper clutch control on the angled restart aside...)

Yikes! Amazed he didn’t roll there.

The guy spotting is lucky he didn't get seriously hurt. That's dumb stuff right there.

Was thinking same. He was in a really bad position...

That was Woody...watch what you say...he’s watching....always watching. . I think he saved it from rolling.

Heh... Woody=Big Brother? Lol

Pretty sure a guy grabbing isn’t going to stop a 2 ton truck from rolling. Dangerous to even try. Truck rolls, roll it back over. Better then losing a limb or worse.

And no Apple CarPlay yet. That is pretty much what I expected, but I was still hoping.

2019 Land Cruiser posted on Toyota's site - no change - I really wanted to see the return of Amazon Green or at least a nice Doodoo Brown :poop: - dammit

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser Luxury SUV | The timeless icon.

If you want “doo doo brown” I’m pretty sure “Brandywine Mica” is the ticket. :)

Sort of a metallic poo color...

Ha! I've actually considered it but the concern is that I might be mistaken for a Crimson Tide fan, which wouldn't go over well around these parts.....

Nah... I've seen it. It's not crimson...it's metallic poo. :)

it's official, no change for 2019. Looks to be the exact same vehicle in the exact same color options.
LX570 and GX460 looks to be the same too with minimal changes.

the only SUV which isn't up is the 2019 4Runner but I'm not holding my breath

Given the lack of spy shots or announcements, my bet is the 2019 4Runner is a carryover with few, if any, changes.

I’m so bummed but not surprised. On another note, I drove a $22,000 Corolla and was thoroughly impressed with tss 2.0. Not only does it have a much smoother adaptive cruise system that works from 0mph but the new lane tracing system is pretty impressive for such an inexpensive car. Can’t wait until the rest of the line up gets it!

2019 4Runner TRD Pro that has been widely discussed on other forums has little to no changes from 2018. I doubt much change will carry through the rest of the trims.

The more, the merrier. Hyundai would have a lot to prove, but I wouldn't count them out. There was a time when Kia and Hyundai made poo, but their cars are now getting very good reviews and their prices undercut the Japanese competition.

So it’s within 2 inches of the LENGTH of the Land Cruiser. So clearly it must be competition... :) Funny stuff. It will take a lot more than that to actually compete with the best built production truck on the planet.

Yes, they'll have a lot to prove and time will tell. It may end up being more of a Tahoekonbanslade competitor. Or it may end up being a true off-roader. I hope that they make it a true off-roader. I will still likely be a Land Cruiser buyer if they do, but more competition is better. I think GM's release of its midsize pickups drove Toyota to do its recent refresh of the Taco.
