OK then. The lines in the first photo kinda looked like PS lines.

By all means, kick it to the curb:lol:

We did keep what we felt was worth keeping. Axles, engine mounts on frame rails, all the mounting and parts for sub tank and few other bits.

Here is a big pile of goodies ready to go for the chassis build, oh ya and some rockers that just showed up from Japan. :)

I think we got our rear axle housing drama figured out this afternoon.

Cheers

Hey Cruiserheads!

I have received four pm's in the last week telling me they are really enjoying this build.

So thank you and thanks to Tony for the opportunity. Personally, I think it will get far better if Tony keeps this going after the truck is done with his planned trip in it. ;)

I'm definitely enjoying the build. Following from Namibe, Angola. We've got Troopies galore here in southern Africa, but very few people in this part will do extreme builds like this one.

Stripped factory seam sealer from the gutters all the way around. There is a few spots that need attention but nothing to major.

Old school trick, used it to clean all the floor crossmembers out real good.

Chassis is done at blaster, swapping it for the body tomorrow.

Cheers

Guess I missed that in the previous 200 pages of parts procurement.

Well chassis assembly, the finished chassis, should start next week so much more to see in the coming weeks and months.

I am excited to see the body bare metal.

Cheers

Ian: Will this rig be getting a rear coil suspension upgrade? Disc brakes?

It’s all good man, I ask these kind of questions some times in threads too. If you are not following along regularly and doing a lot of swipe swipe swiping it’s hard to be up to date on a build.

I did stretch the chassis 5”, go back a few pages or more and check it out. It was fun and laborious.

@Onur & the rest following along, the best is yet to come. Chassis build is going to be stellar (especially when we drop in the power train) and the metal work on the body should be fun to watch unfold as well.

Cheers
