Pretty ready to go but I want to get some hardware tomorrow before putting all the weight on the rotisserie so that’s all for today.

I got tied up with other things today until about an hour ago. It’s mounted now on the rotisserie!

So, I used the old contraption we built to lift the body to re-inforce the doors and rear door. Adding one more cross brace to it and keeping it in the body so it won’t move or twist the body.

I hope to have it out for soda blasting by the end of the week.

Cheers

Powder or paint for the frame?

It should be obvious but the point of holes or half holes on the frame rail is to help keep mud and dirt from sitting in there and causing rust.

Should make washing it out easier too as the water won’t want to blow back at ya so much.

I’m having flashbackes to janky body mounts on a certain German build.... that ladies and gentlemen, is how to do a body mount.

I scheduled chassis paint today for week of the 16th. We may be ready sooner but with the holidays and such the blaster may take a week or more.

I will be tearing it down and preparing it, like starting this afternoon.

Body needs not much before it is ready for blasting, pull side windows about it.

Unfortunately the only blaster I can find local to do soda is 60 miles away. We will be hauling the body on the rotisserie out to them next week.

Build should start cranking good in December.

Cheers

Going back to sliding windows? Or doing gullwing panels?

Front two will be black aluminum Emuwing gulls, rear two will be conventional oem sliders so the rear isn't a lightless cave. Emu makes glass gullwings but I'd like the option to drive with the slider open. Can't really drive around with glass gullwings open.
