It was very interesting for me to collect the TEQ spare parts pictures. It gives an overview of Toyota design over the years. Probably someone could provide more accurate explanation. Now it’s just a small collection from the past up to now.

My avatar is a logo stamped on a crate of parts that came with my '69. Original owner was service manager at local dealership.

It finally occurred to me that hey, something came in that crate.

too small for an engine block...too big for head...transmission maybe? Still not quite right. Hmm...

Hey there's a part number on it. Google says?...

PTO winch!

How cool is that?!

All very cool, thanks for posting!

It took a bit time to find additional information regarding time line of the production based on the boxes.
We have the boxes, the stickers, the pockets. Each of it has important information for us.

The first period - vintage Toyota motor logo and narrow TOYOTA - up to 1969

Second period - teq logo and wide black TOYOTA (on the box or in the instruction) -1969-1978

Third period - teq logo, wide red TOYOTA and "Toyota motor Sales Co" - 1978-06.1982

Forth period - teq logo, wide red TOYOTA and Toyota Motor Corporation (merger of Toyota motor Sales Co) -07.1982-1989

Current black Toyota/Lexus goes from 20xx???

What is missing are the pre-10/1963 parts packaging.

10/1963 is when Toyota rationalized to the 10/12 digit part numbering system.

Thanks! You are right, before 1963 it was non 10/12 digit system. But I didn’t find any photo of such box (failed 1 hour search in fj25 forum).

Cross-branding between LX and Toyota started about 2 years ago, IIRC?
