I did the BiLED in both the high and low beams. Tremendous output. I did have to slightly adjust the level of one of them, but I am very happy it took about 11 weeks to get them, but were responsive through the entire process. I'd recommend them for sure.

The light output looks great.
So do you purchase the entire housing with the bulb already installed?
What's the process of installing? Care to share how much?

Can you please post a picture with the low beams projected onto a wall 30’-40’ away?
Is this what your looking for?

The unit comes completely built and ready for installation (including sealed from water and debris). The new assembly uses the same mounting holes, fits in the space the old assembly and turn indicator occupied, and plug directly into the stock headlight and high beam plugs. For my LC i had to remove 3 screws to pull the front grill, then there were 3 bolts holding in the glass headlights and one screw holding in the turn indicator. Pop all the screws and bolts off and the headlight just slides out and the turn indicator pops out when pulled directly forward (kind of weird as there is a clip holding it in place). Very easy for someone not mechanically or electrically inclined.

If you opt to add halo's you have a bit of splicing to do to get them to function, but without its like OEM plug and play.

I ended up paying a bit over $800 for a new set of headlights for my 05 land cruiser. The LX is a bit more expensive (just based on their website), but it seemed like a good deal for an upgraded and OEM quality LC headlight assembly.

Yes, thank you! Output looks slightly different from HID’s but still sharp cutoff. I would have gone this route had I known about them when I bought my retrofit kit couple of years ago. Not sure if they were offering this product back then but glad we have the option now.

Bxbuilt closed up shop all of a sudden I believe, at least that's what I saw others saying on a 4runner forum.

They closed up because they were taking people's money and making up stories about delays etc. I never got my headlights and lost over $1000 and not able to get any type of refund because it was too far out of the order date for paypal. It was initially a 6 month lead time which turned into a year and then a year and a half. I kept in contact, but was dumb enough to believe all of the excuses that they threw at me. I'm not associating TEQ Customs with BxBuilt and would still love a set of retrofitted headlights, but this experience has led me to be extremely cautious about ordering products with long lead times.

I have a set of TEQ custom headlights on my 80, and they just finsihed the set on my '02 LX470. This is probably the most valuable mod I've done on both vehicles. The light output is similar to my wife's '21 Yukon Denali - it is modern lighting in a 20+ year old vehicle.

I am in Raleigh, so I had the guys install and the work is top notch. The lead time was ~10 weeks, but worth the wait. I didn't do anything fancy like angel or demon eyes, and opted for the bi-LED.

I can't say enough good things about the experience as well as the final product - driving at night is SO much better.

Dang I hadn't heard all of that. Pretty terrible

I went with the bi-LED for the lows and mini-bi-LED for the highs. No halos, as simple a shroud as they had. Again DEPO one piece headlights. Right around $800 (if that). Light output and consistency matches the photos above. No problems so far with dazzling oncoming traffic. Temperature of the lights is very close (as to not make a difference) to my all my AUX lights at around 5000K. The only thing new I noticed, as a result of all the light, is that my bull bar now casts a very tight v shaped shadow.

I've been looking into these from TEQ Customs for my LX470. One question I have is, since you chose the mini bi LED projector for the high beams do you have all four projectors producing light when running the low beams and then also when running the high beams? I'm confused about this part.

This is exactly the case. All four are on all the time. Each of the four has a shutter/solenoid that allows for the switch between low and high beam lighting. If aimed properly (a good resource is Daniel Stern Lighting, Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply - https://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html ) you should have no issues.

Just put in my order for a set of these for my LX470. I went with the mini bi led option for the high beams. No halos or any other addons. I’ll be sending in my lights when the time comes (12 week lead time currently) for them to replace my current lenses with glass lenses. That will be a nice change since my lenses now are pretty oxidized on the inside of the lens. Super pumped for these as the lighting output is probably the part I like least about my LX470. I was able to get a 10% off coupon by signing up for their email list, so that saved me $100.50. Total after coupon was $904.50. I know people like to know pricing on these types of upgrades. May can’t get here soon enough. 😎

So, have you got them installed? Any update.

I got to be privy to a repair of one of these headlights over this past weekend. Gotta say, it was disappointing. Lights arrived to my buddy's house well after the lead time with connectors mismatched, only some of the lighting functional. They gave him the run around for a while before he decided to open it up. Found a power and ground wire to the high beam crimped together inside, pinched between 2 items with the shielding worn through, shorting itself. They told him that wasn't a likely cause for the issue, even though he taped both, fixed the short, and lights now work. Quality of work was low, and it seems the support he's received leaves plenty to be desired. He's on here but I think he's trying to track down the owner at this point before putting them on blast on socials.

This thread seems to have very different feedback than the FB groups. There's damn near a witch hunt starting over these on FB.

Having been active on a million different forums for a million years, these things always seem to go this way. Create a cool product, drum up interest, take in a bunch of preorders, then never stick to plans and always increase lead times. These outfits are the exact reason I'll never take preorder money and I'll never sell something I don't have my hands on at the time of sale. For the money these cost, the work quality (of what I saw) and (IMO) the cheap aesthetic, one would be so much better off just doing a retrofit in to OEM housings.

I ordered for OEM retro fit beginning of January. Paid up front This was based on several good reviews on IH8MUD.
They contacted me last week to send in the original housings.

I sure hope I have better results than MongooseGA's friend!

I order mine in August of 24 got them in October of 24 and by December I was having an issue were only 1 of the 2 projectors on my drive side was working and it would happen at random. January my pasanger started to do the same email them and got the response that there is no way for only 1 of the projectors to be working at a time. Sent them pictures and then they told to take the cap off the back and poke around. They had shove 2 wires into these clamp on splice connector and they were barely making a connection. Now just last week I had another clamp on splice connector fail. So I have to agree with @MongooseGA quality of work is pretty low for what you pay for. They perform great though bright AF
