The springs are rated for an 80 series body, so any static load measurements we could provide would be very different, unless you used the 80 series body.

I have 6" front and rear, no spacers, with the heavies in the rear. If you are planning on running these springs on anything other than an 80 I would reconsider and go to a custom coilover fox shock or something like it.

OME J's might prove to be a better coil for a lighter rig ( a 60 I'm assuming). Control and ride are great on my 80, but Dan and I are carrying a little more weight around, but if you want measurements, I can snag them this evening for the front, on the rear I'm still running 863Js.

all I need are rough estimated right now. I will have a certain amount of height flexibility in mounting the perches.

FJ62 (heavier than FJ60)- 4480 lbs
FZJ80 - 4760 lbs

Coilovers will most likely be used up front, but i will keep 80 series buckets in the rear since there is space are A LOT cheaper. I want heavy duty springs since i plan to do some towing and for expedition gear and equipment.

according to buschtaxi,

HJ60: 4700 lbs
FZJ80: 4894 lbs

So, assuming 55/45 F/R weight distribution for both, and that the unsprung weights are equal (*where the 80 series supension and axle is likely heavier), the 80 series will have 87 lbs more weight on the rear suspension than the 60 series, less if the above* statement is true.

maybe someone can check my math but that's negligible IMO.

I can measure my 6" and post up...I am using heavies, fully armored, with the rubber skin and about 250# of tools and gear in the back all the time.

Agreed

60's = made of metal
80's = made of plastics, and composits

Too bad your wrong....I'll post up my hights tonight...J's up front and 863's in back.
John

I thing dearborn has some J's in the for sale section.

Hey info, you still want this muffler and spacers? /hijack

Hey info, you still want this muffler and spacers? /hijack

Muffler yes, spacers not a this time so go ahead a sell them. Tried to go to last Georgia meeting but flight got delayed and everone was gone.

ok i got 4'' fronts and J's in the rear on a relatively stock weight cruiser. ( no bumpers/winch/batteries or 2nd or 3rd row seats but w/ IPOR skid and sliders.)

both coils measure 16'' from coil bucket to coil bucket both front and rear. hth.

Kids keeping me running, will post up when I can.

front 15" ish rears 14" ish.
front OME 850 J's rear OME 863's
front arb w/ M1200 winch, rear Iron pig tow bumper with tire carrier. ffr

from slee's site
Part # | Inches Lift | Added weight over stock
OME850J| 3.5 | 110-250 lbs
OME863 | 3" | 300-500 lbs

Info, can you clarify which rear springs you have?

The (OME863 | 3" | 300-500 lbs) are listed under 100 series springs on Slee's site...The OME863's under for the 80 series are (OME863 | 2.5" | 200-440 lbs). Or are they the OME863J's?

I just wanted to verify because if they are OME863J's than I think you have the same set-up I will be running...thanks!

I'm running the 863's, not sure why slee shows different hights for them. My understanding is J's front and rear will produce a rake, J's front with 863's produces a more level ....all depending on winch, etc.

Well there you go....wonder what they will do to a 60? cant wait to see!
