I would find the thread size of the drain plug and run a piece of pipe out of the enclosure with a ball valve somewhere in the line so that all you have to do is open the valve.

Will an 85 pickup short bed bolt up the same as a 85 long bed?
Will an 85 pickup short bed bolt up the same as a 85 long bed?
I have a 85 4wd with the long bed and found a 85 2wd short bed in decent shape both single cab wandering if the swap was a direct bolt up or easier swap. Looked for answer but no luck yet.
No not a direct bolt on swap. The mounting points are stretched on the long bed if memory serves me right so you'd have to relocate them to make it work but then you'd have other things to look at the longer frame and axle set further back. My brothers 85 LB had a two piece rear drive shaft with a hanger bearing as well.
So might a 2wd fit a 4wd if they were but long beds. yup

How much of an angle should the shackles be at on my 40 with a 3" or 4" lift? Also, what does a shackle reversal do for you?
In theory I believe I want the springs to be longer so that the shackle angle is greater for a softer ride and better articulation, right? Or else I need to move the hanger to move the spring forward?
