seeing all those pics makes me want em now. kinda sounds like i should probly find 2 sets of rims and tires. i love the way the skinny's look.

as far as power i have a 5 speed but still stock gears in the 3rds 33's go just fine, i actually expected it to be a bit slower based on the pre purchase descriptions i read on here. i had 35"s on the back for a bit cause i blew out one of the tires and was broke but, had the 35"s on my sami that was at the time in the garage under construction and there was only a slight power loss.

just curious, why are you sticking to the skinnies, lots of highway km's, or like the look better?

The reason I prefer skinny tires is because I am convinced that they give you better straight ahead traction on every surface except deep mud and deep sand.

why? because there are more pounds per square inch when using a skinnier tire. For example: Wide surfaces slide easier than smaller ones weighing the same amount, when pushing them across a concrete floor.

With regard to the Q78s and the 33x10.50 ATs on my 60 I just wanted to mention that I am running an H55f 5 speed and 5.56 gears in the diffs...

4.56's I'm running 4.11's ( soon ) with 33" tires.

If I'm not mistaken the blogger by the same company that makes Iroc tire has a 35 X 10.5 size as well that tall and skinny. May be a directional mud pattern however would have to check it out. Looks really aggressive. :D ANy body running the blogger????

It's Bogger made by Interco Tire. It sucks, it's heavy, bias, has no lateral traction and wears fast.

Q78 swamper is a 35.5 x 9.50 tire made by interco probably more like 34.5" in height even though they call it a 35.5" tall tire. BTW, when you measure tires, there is so much variability in the PSI, weight of the truck, etc.. It is muh easier to measure side to side than from the ground up.

They do make a 38 x 11" wide Bogger as well. wich excells in the mud, and just like Hank said, pretty mucj sucks most elsewhere. But they are pretty much bullet proof.

BTW, if the whole big deal is PSI. Run a 29 x 7.50 tire at full pressure. That will give you the smallest contact patch with the most pressure on it.

When you compare the actual contact patch of a tall skinny tire to a comparably sized wide tire you actually have more of a contact patch, and it is also physicaly longer. Think of skiis or tank tread.

I know BFGoodrich has a 33x9.5x15 in a all terrain and mud terrain. Dont know if I've ever seen a 34 or 35 in 9.5

They no longer make the 33x9.50 mud....
