After many emails, PMs, texts, phone calls etc.. I decided to make these. One main reason is that I bought one for my wife's '97 and when it arrived it was twisted, bowed and NONE of the holes matched the tailgate. So instead of installing it and drilling 18 new holes..
I made some changes, added some things and made a dual door version.
1/4" 6061 laser cut aluminum with Southco sealed locking latches and SS fasterners. All hardware, allen wrenches and anti-seize will be included in the kit. Doors are fully supported by an inner lip that is welded around the perimeter of the frame.
Bare metal is the only offering until I get moved to Spokane next spring and then I will offer these in powder, hard anodized and Plastisol polymer.
I have already accepted several 80 owners orders and offering these up in full now.
They will be ready in approx. 4.5 weeks.
Pricing info:
Tailgate Storage lids 60, 80 and 100 series (60 quarter panels)
Thanks all,
Jason
