How do you attach synthetic rope to a warn 8274

Could someone add a photo if they have one

There should be a hole in the drum. Pass the tail end of your line through that and tie one small overhand knot.

That's how you do it!

I don't haves pic even though I have a 8274 on my Pig. Do an interwebs search and a pic should come up.

PS: only use one basic overhand knot at the very end of your line. I'd prefer the knot to pull out if you don't keep enough wraps on your drum rather than your drum get damaged.

I've heard of guys tying double clove hitches, but if there is a straight through hole on your drum put it through and wrap it around.

The 'ole tape method works too. You can tape your line across your drum and then wind your rope back over itself - or - tape your line around the drum just like you are winding it in, and then either way make sure to keep a minimum of 10 wraps on your drum to keep the line attached.

A clove hitch should work... Just make sure whatever knot you use you can get it off if you need to service your line - AND - make sure your line can pull free from your drum on its own in case it is shock loaded with few wraps left, or there is a static load that doesn't have enough wraps to keep the line on the drum.
