I have a 91 hilux surf 2.4lt 2lte turbo diesel, a little while back my timer control valve failed. Since I couldn't find a new one anywhere,I got another pump and had it cleaned up kitted and bench tested, after the bench test it was all good.
I had the pump installed back in my car,the mechanic ran it,and drove it. All good,I drove it home, drove beautifully, until I got home and turned around and put the car in reverse, the engine stopped and hasn't started since. It's still turning over, there is fuel getting to the pump but not to the injectors. Is it the spill control valve? I need a bit of help as I keep getting different versions, and I need to know how to approach this as I have no work because of illness and am not very financial.
