I use the sprinklers too. Only I park over one of them in the middle of my lawn and turn them all on. Rinses underside and most of outside. But first rinse with a hose from the top down to get that sand off.
Yeah...from driveway to entry ramp I might be the closest that was there. For future reference, any mudder feel free to contact me if you break something in the area and need a flat area to work. I have a big driveway off the street and an air compressor to use. Not too many tools, but most of the important ones.
Almost wish I lived farther away during SnT. Going home is too convenient so I ended up missing more than I would have if I had to drive a longer way to get there. Would have been more likely to make a weekend of it. Same thing last year.

I would like to thank Georg, Jim, Jason, Seth, and Jack for all the help they provided me and the family the week prior to Surf n Turf. For those of you who did not know, my tow truck blew a head gasket the Saterday before the event and we had no vehicle to pull our camping trailer. Georg hooked me up with some phone #'s and as well as Jim. Jim provided his quick n easy shuttle service for the family while Jason and Seth provided towing to get the trailer to and from Jacks fortress. I am very thankfull for all the help they gave in such a short notice, it also made the situation a little less stressfull.
We had a blast during the event, and of course it was great to see old faces and meet new ones. Thanks for putting it on Jim and we'll see ya next year

I did the only responsible thing, I went back to the beach and dunes. I figure it's already sandy so get another trip in quick. So far, I've sorta cleaned the 80 and the 40. Knuckles will likely get another beach cruise before it's bath.
The weather turned awesome this week, today hot with off shore winds. Plus, full moon and extreme tides. You know that soft depression when leaving the hard pack in fornt of camp? It was a lake today! The tide when over the first ridge and flooded that low spot.
You have to love the beach and dunes for "tread lightly" there is absolutely no trace we were there!
Andy and Mike, you guys need to "man-up" and spend the night on the beach.
Heck, you can sleep in the wagon. The sunrise is worth it! We'll have to plan a localsonlys overnight. I will admit I lived here 10 years before I spent the night on the beach, fifteen minutes from my house.
I will be thanking a whole bunch of people eventually, but meantime,
THANKS to everyone that made the trip and made Surf n Turf 2008 one of the best!
Anyone else too, I've just finished sorting through the extras and I've got a little of everything. Short Sleeves, Long Sleeves, Hoodies and NEW THIS YEAR "Ladies" shirts.
Also, have the full color "Beach Party" shirts Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve.
Please PM me and tell me what you want before they go into deep storage.
Got home yesterday just after noon After all the driving, the worst was the last 2 hrs between Calgary and Edmonton. One hell of a cross-headwind.
Lots of new faces, new country and new experiences on the trip. Thanks to Jim and the gang for putting it all together, and a big thanks to Dan and Mickey for their hospitality.
