Sycamore hot springs resort would be ideal for you but it's 15 min north on the way to SLO.

Not to be petty, but in the interest of accuracy, Sycamore would only be 5 minutes north of Seacrest. Slo is only about 10 minutes north of Seacrest (pismo proper) From the onramp to Oceano Dunes, yes Sycamore would be around 15 minutes north by the time you get through town and such.
Sycamore is very nice, probably my favorite, hotel/motel around, but not close to the water at all. Also one of the more expensive places to stay around here. Incredible restaurant with a great bar. All rooms have natural Hot spring water hot tubs. If you wanted to be close to the water and have a pretty open budget look into the Sea Venture. Right on the water and all rooms have hot tubs (not natural hot spring water). what criteria are you looking for Monnie? I still think Oxford is the best deal around. Affordable, clean and newer, good location with the best Sushi around more or less across the street. i think they have a hosted "welcome" bar too.
we're bound to see tons of cruisers on the freeway as we get out there.
Don't forget, honk, flash, and tune in to 146.460 (or whatever the new Mud frequency is...)
(and for those of you still using CBs... well, grow up! This ain't the 70s no mo'...)

Any "remote" hot springs to check out down that way?
