I've heard and read that the Trd fan is not very good?

I've heard of guys using the 3.0 fan, or trimming the factory fan?

Hoping to do my install in the next couple of weeks!

Thanks for the help!

I used the fan that came with the Super Charger. I have read all the arguments and I am just going with the concept that the TRD package came with a fan...and I am using that fan...if I have any warranty issues...there are no loose ends.

+2 on the TRD fan which comes with the kit. No overheating, clearance or other issues with my rig which has had the S/C for over 61,000 miles now!

The TRD fan is a POS and moves no air

3FE fan is what is working in AZ

The factory fan can flex up to 1 1/2" be very careful

I am NOT an expert, and don't have much time under my belt with it, but I'm using the TRD fan that came with the kit.

I can't help you with the question of whether it is a POS.

In a very limited sample, it seems to be keeping things cool, even when towing. However, I am in the Northeast and haven't been through a summer with it so my needs may be very different than folks that live in warmer climates.

Tried with tragic results to use the stock trimmed fan, now have the 3.0 V6 ringed fan (same as the TRD).. seems to work fine.. I would use the TRD fan unless you have over heating issues and then try something else..

I'm with Smoke - search for the 3.0 V-6 fan thread and benefit from the shaman's research. Mack

I use the 3.0 fan with a modded blue hub clutchvand a 14" electric pusher fan on the front. Of course my base altitude is 8,000'. Wherever you are, you may not have the same overheating issues. Regardless, I would recommend have some way of measuring/monitoring TRUE temps. Whether it be a RT modded guage or a Scanguage (the RT mod costs <~$10:)).

My cruiser is S/C never had a problem until yesterday.....Forest fire forced us to evacuate out of our house in the canyon.Well I hooked up my 12ft utility trailer .....went from 6000 to about 7000 in less than a couple of miles.....long story short I overheated imediately. So needless to say I'm reading every thread I can get my hands on!!!!!!Thanks for all the hard work ....especially cdan any other valuable advise please let me know......
