Sunroof Seal Replacement (2 Viewers)

Is it possible to replace the sunroof seal alone on the 1996 FZJ80? The only thing I’ve seen is to replace the glass and seal.

AFAIK no one has done it yet as the rubber seal is not available as a separate part.

There are a few methods to help the original seal work better.

Try a search in this forum for "leaking sunroof seal" and read a few threads, been discussed a lot in the past.

I found a single wrap of butcher's twine effective and easily accomplished.

I did the bike tube method ten years ago and haven't had a leak since.
