A stock 80 would have done just fine. After all, the Blazer didn't blow up. :flipoff2: Well, we did cover a lot of elevation change in just a few miles, though.

I would rate it as "stocker friendly" to the end of Soldier Camp rd, from there to Cane Spring it becomes more challenging, so "stocker doable", with careful driving and pin stripes guarantied.

Oh, and we're doing it wrong. According to an esteemed TUT authority, we've been informed that "... Phoenix has no mountains. It's flat, brown, hot, and overcrowded...". :p :cool:

Could have at least checked google before posting ignorance?:rolleyes:

Methinks we ought to go out more often in inclement weather...

Agreed, it has netted some of the best trail days, but inclement weather is relatively rare around here.

Great pictures! Sorry I missed it, but Christmas decorations "had" to go up :rolleyes:

That happened at my house also, I said :flipoff2: going wheeling!:hillbilly:

You folks sure had a great 3 days out there. The scenery is awesome. Lorna & I have to get up your way and join in the fun. Thanks for the great pics.

I'm thinking of heading down your way for a couple of days of exploring then hitting the new years Rug Road run on the way home. Want to meet up in Bisbee or Tombstone?

I posted enough pics over there to set the record straight - he relented :flipoff2:

Sure; We could meet where ever. Do you have a particular trail in mind? Lot's of scenic drives down this way. We were thinking of joining the new years too.

:crybaby::doh::whoops::doh:

I've gone up a ways on that road before in my 60 and 80, but always figured I was getting close to the Wilderness boundary. A closer inpsection of the map seems to show that the boundary goes on either side of the road, making a legal corridor up into the wilderness area, correct?

Don't know that area, was hoping you would have a suggestion?

That's how I understand it.

I read it the same way

the first time I learned of the corridor concept was in California (Anza Borrego and Chocolate Mountains); the Cabeza Prieta (southern AZ) also operates that way for camping

there is a second corridor in the Four Peaks area - next time :bounce:
