Man dude, you don't waste anytime!! have fun tomorrow.

What a fantastic day! Pretty much unexpected, going into the Rolls from 4peaks road, wasn't expecting much, but the far end of FR401 delivered a great drive with killer views!

fantastic day :bounce:

4peaks was wearing a hat, all day the size/shape of it changed. The weather changed all day from sunny to rain and back to sun. A couple of times it rained pretty hard, but only for a few minutes, enough to keep the dust down and paint the desert in it's best colors.

A lot of the trail is on top of ridges or shelf roads high on the side of them, so great views and often abrupt elevation changes, big climbs. With the storms, some areas would be shaded by clouds, others lit up and constantly changing the view as the clouds moved.

I hate you guys.

I hate you guys.

A stock 80 would have done just fine. After all, the Blazer didn't blow up. :flipoff2: Well, we did cover a lot of elevation change in just a few miles, though.

Oh, and we're doing it wrong. According to an esteemed TUT authority, we've been informed that "... Phoenix has no mountains. It's flat, brown, hot, and overcrowded...". :p

See, it's a Volcano - and in best European tradition, there's a "Gipfelkreuz" - and there's the ever-popular see-thru Saguaro!
