Too far north. Too far east.
It's that time of year again. Time for spending a wonderful evening at the Botanic Garden listening to great music and walking the grounds at a perfect time of day. The season begins June 14th, and will continue on Thursday evenings until August 23rd. Gates open at 6:00 with the concert at 7:00. Schedule at: Summer Nights. Bring a chair or blanket, and kick back on the grass as the sun sets.

Oh, and ya, the Zoo has something like this on Fridays. But I won't go into that. :grinpimp:

Can we bring wine?

Sorry, you can't bring in any alcohol, but beer and wine can be purchased onsite.

Aug 2nd, Lao Tizer. Good music!

I will be going to this one for sure.

I should have looked closer at the rack card. Lao Tizer is good. Mindi Abair is a must see. She will be at the Zoo on Aug 3rd. Killer jazz sax.

I would ask you where is the Cruiser content, like you do quite a bit, but I see you are wearing the HDC shirt (so nevermind). What is up with you not putting on a smile? She has a big one, but it looks like you did crap in your pants :flipoff2:

and do you not know how to smile for the picture?

Leave him alone; Jon IS smiling.

... and she probably took him home. ;)

I wish, Mike. I wasn't ready for the picture. Hopefully the others will be better. Like I said, I wasn't going to wait until Monday to get the pics off Eric's camera. I wanted one pic to bring home. You guys are just jealous. I'm not usually into getting seen with famous people, but Mindi was an exception. Like I said, not only easy on the eyes, but exceptional on the sax and on stage.

A short clip from her encore. The bass player rocked. I met him after the show and he was a super nice guy. He was also playing the show sick.

That is how I found out he was sick. He wouldn't shake.

Lives of the rich and famous!

Much better Jon, much better.
