I wanted to see what seasoned owners might suggest as “must have” tools for a new FJ40 owner that wants to be able to work on the mechanical systems.

Manuals are obtained directly from the Toyota Material Distribution Center in Torrance, CA at 1-800-622-2033. Alternatively, Spector Off Road (SOR) carries them.

i thought i recall hearing the mdc is no more?

Toyota Material Distribution Network is no longer a entity , they closed there doors over 10+ years ago ........

Several cans of Kroil. And like a half dozen10mm sockets and wrenches because they always seem to be missing.

Spare fetzer valves and plenty of ball bearings, it’s all about the ball bearings….

second this.........it's all ball bearings these days. Fetzer valve......I think some gauze pads and 3 in 1 oil should take care of that...........
