Greetings all. I'm an original owner of a '99 TLC, now sporting about 378,000 miles. I've done most of the maintenance over the years, including the timing belt, and have been helped by the fact that it's been the most reliable and best vehicle I've ever owned. It doesn't burn oil, the heads have never been off, a set of tires lasts 90k miles, and it's pretty much in (slightly beat up) original configuration. I love this vehicle.
It's ALWAYS started when I turned the key, except for a couple of typical starter motor issues over the years. This time, it's different. It was running perfectly when I last drove/parked it about a week ago, but now will only turn over and shows NO sign of starting. Fuel is at about 5/8ths and fresh; I'm looking for good ideas where to start looking for problems that would cause such a sudden death.
One suggestion has been the crankshaft position sensor - not sure if that's a typical failure point that would case this type of problem, and if it's the first place I should investigate or if there's something more likely.
I'll take all the advice I can get, thanks.
