if you look very very carefully, you can see the 9.0 in the blue boardbag w/ a red 6 foot-something on top of it. Inside. Cuz there's no rack.

Besides, a 9.0 fits *perfectly* from the dash to the rear hatch. Heck, a 9.2 would probably fit fine.

9'8" fits front right corner of the dash to left rear tailgate at the perfect angle ;)

Sorry no pics (so it isn't verifiable ;) ). We were too busy trying to keep the cruiser from rolling down a ravine.

I was wheeling with the local club in a wooded ravine called Dam's Canyon. The track was just right for a small rig like a CJ, YJ, or sami; too small for a full size; the 60 was just a hair too big.

I came up on a loose boulder on the right side - steep drop-off to the left. I couldn't go around or straddle it so I the rock straight on. Front end did fine but when the rear tire got up on it the rock rolled left, sending my left tire down into the soft shoulder. Keep in mind the rear diff was open at the time. I slowly tried to ease it back up but the rear kept sliding down the hill and taking the front end with it. I crawled forward a couple feet or so but that put the side of my front left tire against a stump. Every time my left rear tire spun the back end slid a little further down and by the end I was side hilling with my butt on the arm rest.

And then I got winched out by the CJ-5 that was following me. :(

Crappy Tires....

And Peter's BJ60, pretty stuck

This truck is fricken bad ass! Doesn't he have a website devoted to it? Anyone have a link? (Tippy, Trippy, or something like that...)

I'm stuck in traffic all the time!

i cant find my pictures, i know i have um here somewhere, ill keep looking

but, in addition to plenty of stucks in that mud pit at hollister, i also managed to make it into the police blotter in my town...

i was driving with my permt in my 60... my dad with me, and we had jsut had a huge winter here in cali, so there was mud everywhere, and i couldnt resist a freshly graded lot here in peaceful (rich) atherton... anyhoo, i got stuck, cops show up, my dad takes the blame so i dont lose my permit, i go back a week later and fill some ruts in by shovel, and im the most dangerous thing in the police blotter in years (trespassing). i love this neighborhood.

ps dope cruiser in that vid

High Desert is "STUCK"!

Here, in these photos I am "STUCK" mowing the yard while the rig and "Jeeves" (my Lab) wait for adventure...It is a bad situation, however, the yard is small so recovery will be quick and I'll be on my way soon..:D

On a 4 day expidition last year in western Alberta (Nordegg, borders Jasper National Park). Second pic is about 50 feet further than the first pic. I now have a second winch hooked to my front and my winch is on snatch block. That skeg is heavy.

If you want to wheel in Canada and in the winter, plan now for River Shiver '08.

Great thread!!

No pix, but we had a fire truck (single axle drive) get stuck in a couple feet of snow. Slid around a corner instead of making the turn. No amount of digging was going to free 45,000lbs of truck, and the road dept wouldn't send us a grader. bummo.

ah good old matagorda, never actually been stuck there, but I have saved many people from the sand. One time a Z-71 that had atleast 8 people in the bed alone got stuck, no one would get out. We didnt help them.

OOOps

I really needed sliders for this trip. My rockers were never the same after that day. Now I have sliders.

Dynosoar :zilla:
