Doing the passenger side Knuckle Rebuild on my stock 1995 today when I stripped a steering knuckle stud. I have a set of spare studs but I am unsure how to remove the old stud. I cant double nut and I have tried vice grips but no luck. Does anyone have any advice for this or am I better of asking a shop if they could swap it for me?

Alternate Heat (from a MAPP gas torch, buy at Home Depot etc) and penetrating oil.

There are stud removal socket type tools also but I would use the heat and penetrating oil first. IME this type or stud removal tool
works well with an impact wrench.

You can replace the old studs with the newer style that have a Hex head (hexalobular)

It doesn't look that bad. Run a die over it to clean up the threads and then use two nuts.
Ill give that a shot thanks!
Got a welder? Get the nut onto the stud and weld it in place. Use a socket to remove it.

I wouldn’t use a used stud to replace it if that is what you have on hand.
Sadly no, my moms would definitely kick me out the house at that point.

The newer style hex head studs are available from Toyota, not 100% sure of the current number (90126-12010), wait for someone else to confirm. They're easier to install using an E-12 Torx socket.

Old style compared to newer style stud/bolt:

IME it helps to replace the cone washers (42323-60020) if they're worn. Ditto for the flat washers and nuts.

There is an inherent problem with the factory studs. The shoulder on the stud is too short and doesn’t interface with enough of the cone washer to properly clamp and hold the stud from backing out.

I have studs on my site that correct this and have sold a lot of kits with zero complaints.

If you’re that deep it makes sense to replace all the hardware and the @landtank studs are a great option.
It also looks like one of the wiper bolt snapped off you will need to extract that as well.
I would suggest chasing all the thread, cleaning all the rust off those knuckles and fresh paint.
