Finishing up my motor rebuild, and I went to put the #1 exhaust manifold on. The studs were screwed in a little more than finger tight.
I didn't feel like there was any resistance when I installed them. Put the nuts on and went to torque to 29ft/lbs, and 2 of them won't take torque.
Is the best way to fix heli-coil?
Any tips or tricks you guys have would be appreciated, never done them before.
The picture is a bit grainy, and is the worst of the 2. The other still has all the threads.

Personally, Heli Coil . 1/4 of the price of a Time Sert, and performs just as well.

Thanks for the replies and advice, I am gonna go with the time-sert.
I like that the time-sert is one solid piece vs. the coil. Yeah more expensive, but I believe what failed was an old helicoil.
