Understood. No concern of failing system?

Can't say that for certain, but I at this juncture....I would expect you'll be OK for awhile. Could be a 'pending' issue though, since the brushes in the booster motor are constantly wearing and leaving large deposits inside the motor. Also the accumulator can 'soft fail'.

If it were me....I'd flush the system (or have it professionally done) and just keep an eye on it. That way you know everything is as correct as it can be for now.

Check out ebay mtec electronics out of Italy sells the new motor and contacts listed under repair kit abs pajero mr407202 induced + brushes item # 313039446011 $108.92 plus $45 shipping just got mine today takes about 9 days from order date and installed it perfect fit brand new cheaper than other ebay rebuilt units. Took me about 3 hours of cross referencing part numbers till I found it .its used on various mitsubishi models as well as toyota and lexus .mine works fine but its running continuously so I have to figure that out my accumulator hisses after I turn the engine off sounds like an air leak

Removes any air/moisture that might be trapped in the ABS unit, Accumulator or lines AND is preventative maintenance that is supposed be performed at certain intervals anyway.
I had a similar issue going on with my 99 LX470 for the past few weeks. I was getting the squealing noises inside and then the ABS and brake lights coming on. I took a shot at flushing and replacing the fluid and it actually seems to have corrected the issue. The shop checked it out first and was showing codes for the accumulator and booster, but I asked them to flush and replace anyway. I'm pretty excited that it seems to have corrected the issue. Definitely worth trying. In the meantime, I found a replacement in New Mexico off of a 2000 LC with 125K on it. I guess that's going to sit on the shelf until needed!

IMHO: If bubbles come up the front of reservoir, at same time as squeal heard. You'll need a need brake master assy $$. Or go for the works, and buy Master w/booster assy$$$.

It would be helpful if you post up a video. By posting in something like youtube first, than you can link here in mud. Video needs to show front of reservoir as squeal accrues. Kept camera stable, stationary and focused on front of reservoir.

The sound will likely accrue more often and of a longer duration when OAT low. Like today, in which most of the country OAT is below freezing.

Squeal is due to rapid loss of pressure internally. This will result in system trying to keep fluid pressure up (within spec). Over time condition will worsen, motor will run excessively in frequency and more to the point duration. If duration exceed pre-detriment time, you'll get a DTC. IIRC that is 5 minutes time limit. But note FSM does warns not to run pump more than 2 minutes, during test modes through tech stream.

Here you can barely see fluid coming back into reservoir (bubbles), with squeal. By the time I set up camera the system was warming. So we can't hear or see much. But you'll see movement of fluid in center camber of reservoir. Same camber movement is seen, when pumping pedal 40 times key off to evacuate accumulator.
