STOLEN LANDCRUISER......Please Help

Ripley and I were heading down river Rd E bound when I saw the cruiser heading W so I fipped a bitch and followed them to the AM/PM on Orange Grove and Thornydale. The jack ass went inside and then got some fuel. I had parked behind the store watching them while on the phone with Marana P.D. They spotted me as they were leaving and took us on an urban 4x4 trail, jumping medians ect... Anyway long story short after the high speed pursuit (LOL) in the FZJ80 the cops caught up with us on I-10 at Cortaro and got the guys. They almost rolled the 40 before coming to a stop, man I was scared it was going over. Well anyway Im just glad the 40 was found, I cant imagine how pissed I would be if mine was stolen.

Ripley took some pics of the guys getting cuffed so I would imagine he will put them up eventually. And by the way, sonoranfun is the guy that told me to look at this thread, he wanted me to see the pics and keep an eye out so a thanks is probably due to him.

Glad it was found!!

I just got back from picking up the cruiser and sorting out what belonged in the vehicle and what was missing. I am really glad she is back and everything seems to be in working order. The steering seems a little loose so I will go over it wiht a fine tooth comb as soon as I get some time. The whole inside is covered in mud and they looked like they were going for another run today.

All in all a busted windshield and some missing tow straps are all I have to replace..........beats having to start over.

That being said I want to thank everyone for keeping their eyes peeled and making sure she returned home!!!!!!!!!!!! A special thanks to tmblwed and ripleykantoo for chasing those jackasses down. I would like you guys to PM me with your contact info........I would like to meet you guys in person and take you two out for beers or steaks or both!!!!!!!!!

I can't thank you guys enough.

PS. I wouln't mind seeing those pictures you all took of the arrest!!!!!!!
 
Yeah, really happy for you. Good luck with the windshield replacement.

Any plans for beefing up security? I would be interested in your ideas. I had hoped the manual tranny would be enough of a deterrent, but evidently not.

I can't believe they had the guts to drive it around so close to where they stole it..........:rolleyes: but they say the perpetrator comes back to the scene of the crime........:eek:

I am so sorry I forgot you Sonoranfun!!!!!! Thankyou very much for directing people to the thread. I would still be cruiserless without your help!! I am constantly overwhelmed by the amount of support this forum offers!!

You guys are all great.

And as for the security I will be doing some serious overhauls to it!

I think the engineering would be a little extreme!!!! I will let you know what type of security I put on it, and if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them!!!!! I don't think I can go through the stress of losing that cruiser again!!
 
That is great !!!! I hope that you pursue prosecuting them and a civil suit too (this may be the only way to really hurt them), unfortunately jail time will probably not be a reality for those scum bags. I am not a sue happy person but getting them to pay restituion is one way to build up their record and eventually when they have done enough documented bad stuff there may be a RCH chance that they do real time. :D
