Count me out. Got an email back from saying they don't offer the right-hand-drive version of the carpet :( for my HDJ81 :\

Anything ever come of this? Still curious about the possibility of a vinyl option.

My apologies. I've been super busy. I will try to get to it early next week.

I sell muscle car parts. I have a carpet vendor that will do rubber mat, molded just like a carpet kit or...stock carpets. Let me know if i can be of help!

How much? Where are you located?

via mobile app.

Well,
I owe you all a huge apology.

I actually started 2 businesses at the same time and the other one won out, so I've been focusing on that.

Let me tell you about it:

It's all about my wife. She was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, IBS, TMJ (you name it, she's got it) back in 1998, although she had started feeling it's effects 10 years earlier.

Through all that time I have always helped her to find things along the alternative medicine line of things. So I'd end up on half a dozen websites or "Natural" stores in our area to find things to relieve her "agony" or that would help her just get out of bed in the morning.

I finally realized that nobody focused solely on Fibro, or IBS, or Chronic Fatigue alone.

So that's where I come in.:hhmm: I have done just that. I realize this is not the forum for this, but I wanted to explain and apologize for the Super Big Flake-Out! I even sold my 80 Series to finance this.:crybaby: I'll pick another up later (#6). :)

I am curious if someone else would like to pick up the ball on this and RUN!

If you want to visit my new store you can find it at:

Once again, I'm sorry for letting you all hang out there.

If whoever picks this up and wants some help, let me know I'll be glad to help with Stock Interiors.

We'll be seeing you around. I'll check in occasionally to see what's going on.

So folks still interested in this? I'd like to rip out my carpet and replace it with a vinyl floor. Problem is Stockinteriors doesn't sell a pre-molded vinyl kit for the 80. I wonder if we get enough committed buyers, would it prompt them to offer their carpet kit for the 80 with a vinyl option.

Here's the sample colors they have in vinyl: http://www.stockinteriors.com/CarpetColorUp.asp?Select=1&TypeId=6&HideACC=False

They do however sell the vinyl by the yard so you do your own floor. It's $36.95/yard for a section that's 78" wide. Any idea how hard it would be to cover the floor in vinyl yourself?

And here's their regular 80-series carpet kit: http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCarpet.asp?Itemid=21802&MakeId=37&ModelId=709

Sent them an email to see if they'd make a molded vinyl kit if they had enough buyers but they're not interested. They referred to the company where they buy all their carpet and vinyl from instead. Oh well, at least we tried!

I submitted an online contact question to accmats to see what they say about vinyl...

Cool, keep up posted! When I saw their 80-series carpet kit was $550, I just closed the page!

From accmats: "I’m sorry, the vinyl will not take in this mold. We cannot make it shape in most carpet molds and we’ve already tried this one and noted it in the part number so we know not to sell it in the vinyl. I am sorry we cannot assist you on your search."

Well crud. I do know a company in Australia sells it, but it's pricey. Somebody on MUD installed it but the picture links are all dead. I really want to do something about the gross carpet, but don't want to put more carpet.
