Hey guys

I was reading “Poo Poo Jones” thread on his install of carpet from stockinteriors.com and just wanted to interject an idea here.

I know I need to replace carpet in my rig since my wife won't even get into it (without great complaint) since the PO's dogs must have lived in it.

I am in the beginning stages of starting an online business and noticed that stockinteriors.com offers a volume discount. I'm not at vendor level yet for “MUD” or anyone, but I'm working toward it.

If anyone would be interested in the possibility of getting a lower price (kind of like a group buy) for what seems to be a good product, PM me or comment on this thread and let me know what you think.

After a couple of weeks I will get a rough count of interested ones and I can work out a final price with the company. I may even be able to get them to dropship it for everyone.

I would set up my online store on ebay, and Amazon and we could go from there. This would allow me to get started and build up a rating.
Like I said, this is an idea that I wanted to bounce off the list and get a consensus.

Please let me know what you think about this.
Thanks,
Evan

Here you go:

They also make vinyl for older (or vintage as they say) vehicles. I'm curious if enough interest was raised, if they woul make a kit for our vehicles since I don't believe we're able to get them here in the US. Hmmmm...

I should go ahead and change it to this:

If you want to do this PM me or would you like a poll, get a round number?

I'm definitely interested in one as well. What's the pricing looking like as opposed to going directly through the site?

I'm going to call and see what pricing I can workmout with them today or tomorrow. I will definitely all know.

Good enough.

OK. I got signed up and the price of a kit with nothing special is $265.95 + shipping of $48.90, which I calculated to my home in Oregon. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can get them to come down a little more. I will let you know more as I get info.

vinyl flooring would be awesome if we could get that. I'd be interested.

So let me get this straight... They don't currently make a vinyl kit for the 80, but this thread is to show interest and hopefully get them produced. Or is this for a bigger discount on what they offer if enough of us buy?

Yes and no. My goal is to just get a discount on what they currently produce.
I will discuss with them the possibility of making a PVC interior since they make them for classic cars.

For those with tan interiors (I don't know if there are different versions of the tan interior - 96 LX450 for me) are you thinking
Medium Beige, Medium Doeskin, Antelope or Gold?

I didn't have the opportunity to call about a better price today. I had to make a trip to California this weekend. Will probably call them Monday or Tuesday.
