My windows do not roll down smoothly - they are roll-down, non-power windows.
What can I do to help this? Some spray silicone lubricant on the large gear inside? Anything I should put on the side rails?

Also - anyone tried the dorman replacement handles? My Toyota ones 'skip' sometimes and I wondered if new levers would be a good thing to pick up (vs buying more used from online vendors)

Its worth taking the time to pull the door card and handles and taking the whole window crank mechanism out of the door. Thoroughly clean it and lubricate it. Replace and guide felts that you can and put it back together. If you find the window regulator to be unable to free up then source some good replacements. The ones in my 60 are really tight too...but I have an 88 parts truck with windows that go up and down almost effortlessly so I plan to swap them out.
