i could tell from the cover that it is the original window regulator, you need to lower the window all the way down to get to the 2 bolt holding the glass.:)

I had my son hold up the glass while i pull the regulator i ended up pulling out the glass to give it a good cleaning.;)
make sure you also clean the edges of the glass to ease the drag when raising and lowering would be best if you some dry silicone spray.

i did this just recently, and it was as simple as pie, i had my little brother hold the window while i tightened it :p

I wish

Do you work at Toyota?
In Canada I get 25% off and it is still $141.45! I just called.

I work for a sister dealer across the street from Toyota, only one person owns the car dealers in that street.I get cost plus 10% it only came out to $97.68.:D

When you need to remove the handle, a bicycle spoke with the head cut off works great also.

Great write up!
Careful with the rag (fsm) method, I broke my handle. :/

thanks for the write up and pics, i need to do this next on the passenger door. sweet deal on the price for oem part! i might get you to order one and ship to me;)

i think you can get aftermarket parts for about $60?

Great write up and thanks for posting. I am hoping to dig into mine and found the regulator available at cruiser parts for $120. After a bit more research I found aftermarket at rockauto for $45 ea plus they offer a discount to mud members. Looks like a good quality peice made by dormans.

Do you have a part number for the after market one? Also how do we get a mud discount from them? TIA

Sorry for the discount mention. It seemed that rockauto was a sponsor but I can't seem to find the link to the discount code. Sorry but disregard!

Part numbers are,

749820 for drivers
749821 for passenger

These are listed as front only.

This is very helpful. My windows work But required a lot of effort to roll up and down. Will this help that issue?

The Doorman aftermarket part looks nice for $45. Anyone have experience with them?

I have Dorman regulators in both front doors. They work great. You may also want to look into replacing the window runs at the same time if your windows are hard to roll up.
