I will be installing an aftermarket stereo, went bwith with Pioneer DEH-3700M. Are there anything that I should be carefull about removing the lower dash panel?

Thanks,
Alex

get the wire harness plug from crutchfield. It will make it much easier to install so you don't have to splice any wires and make sure to run the power from the battery not the harness.

Even Wal Mart has the right plugs

You won't always need to worry about running another power line up to the head. At the factory plug there is a fused 15amp source. The factory setup uses a low amp trigger from the switched circuit to turn on the radio and then the radio's amp runs off of this 15amp line. My new head unit was wired identical and following the wiring diagram of my harness kit it worked perfectly.

The only time you would need to run another line is if the radio ran entirely off that switch line. Not likely with the higher output radios now a days.
