Looking for a set of steel wheels for my '94 80. Prefer 17" diameter. Vehicle is primarily a daily driver, but will do some light to moderate wheeling. They will be fitted with 35's probably.

Thanks in advance

I run a set of the FJ Cruiser 17" black steel wheels and love them. I am not into anything hardcore, but they have yet to let me down.

The attached pic, is not the best I have but I will find a better this evening.

I run the 17" steel OEM FJ cruiser wheels. They are very nice, but the backspacing is a bit off. IIRC the OEM FJ steels are about 4.5" backspacing.

I like the procomp steels, have 2 sets (15 and 16) and they have done fine. The round hole rock krawlers are my fav, but I got the "d" holes for $60 a rim so couldn't complain.

My OEM steelies have been really good. Really solid construction and don't need much weight to balance.

crager soft 8's.

Great wheel if looking for a 17inch.

The backspacing on it is about an inch or so more than the factory wheels, so it is going to sit in much further than the deep dish style wheels on the 80. I ran some spidertrax spacers and they looked much better, other wise the wheels look like they sit too far inward.

Well, I can't speak for the steels, but the alloys are 4.75 inch backspace compared to the stock 4.5. However the width is 7.5 on the alloy compared to 8 on our stockers. So the alloys sit in a half inch more. I think the steels are the same. (Not sure though) I run 35s, iron man 2 inch and rub just a little in the top inner corner of the rear without a spacer.
