Sorry gasman but you are wrong, lol. I have a very vested interest!!! It is my vehicle for future sale....Maybe......

I am playing Billy Ball with the myriad of possible combos here....

Such that the 16+ comes into play.....

Also.. it’s crazy how Toyota parts work. I was looking at just buying new rear calipers since they are so cheap on the sale. Individual parts of the caliper add up to about 5x the price of an entire caliper.
What is this sale you speak of?

There are about 6 days still of the southeast Toyota online sales. 25% off. Checkout Serra of Decatur parts. Final discount in cart at checkout and over $75 nets free shipping.

JFYI with Serra of Decatur they're about 2 weeks out before shipping the orders. I checked with them to see when my order (on April 7th) would ship, he said "best guess is 2 weeks since we are still shipping from the last sale"

Good tip. Serra is the most popular in this forum when these sales happen and they do get backed up. I got parts that I ordered during the last sale in 2-3 days. So while possible for them to get backed up, it’s not a given. Also their phone service has been great last few times I’ve called. I needed a part in a hurry during last sale so I was able to call and make sure they had it or woiuld be able to secure from the distributor. They were perfectly happy do that and I got the part just as fast as they said I would.

They also are probably the best at packing parts now that they’ve been hammered by all these sales.

So I keep seeing people say there are free plans for a drawer/platform build but I can't seem to find them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don’t know if this is as much as stupid question but just making sure I’m not crazy. In my camper, my emergency trailer brake controller was replaced under warranty. I decided to get home and test it and it’s not working. I pulled the unit apart and tested the battery to which the voltage was zero the interesting part to me though is that when I test the battery and ground leads the voltage comes back as negative. I think this means that they reversed the leads when they wired the new controller in?

Whether you’re crazy will need other lines of evidence, but in this case I think you may be right. For what it’s worth, I gave up on the silly little battery that was always causing problems with my trailer emergency brake and wired the brake pull switch directly to the house batteries.

Thank you. I’m now guessing that the new controller is bad. As above the controller, the positive and negative lines are testing as I expect. And after the controller is where it goes negative well, I guess that is unless this battery is defective. I’m going to try the battery on a charger and see if it charges.

Acquired a 2014 LX this week. Quick down and dirty on replacing the 20" OEM wheels with some other type (Tundra?) 18" wheels? Good idea / bad idea / or indifferent?

Most common first mod for new LX owners 👍

Does anyone replace the following as “preventative maintenance”? Think after a certain time/mileage interval.

MAF sensor
O2 sensors
Air/fuel sensors

TIA

Haha. Yep, good catch. I almost exclusively used Solomons as my hiking and trail running shoe for well over 20 years. I bike with a guy who had a couple years ago raved about switching to a zero drop shoe. I got my first set of Altra used at the REI garage sale to give them a try, it was unreal most of my lower back and hamstring problems went away. Count me in as a believer.
