There are foam blocks under the manifold that limit access. These must be compromised in your case if they keep going back.

If you replace it might be worth trying to treat them against chewing.. being foam you may be able to inject it with something really not-tasty using a syringe?

At that point I’d consider mixing up some JBWeld putty and encasing the wires with that.

How in gods name do you put back the passenger rear outside seat track cover!? My old one was warped all to hell and now I know why. It’s like you have to loosen the bolt to get it to fit under the track but then you have no access to the bolt. Wtf!

I bent and contorted a bit of heat shielding until is sat firmly but not hermetically in the gap. Easy to get out if you have hands, impossible to breach with filthy rat paws. Six months strong, so far. Neither dislodging nor signs of harness buffet.

What is the consensus recommendation for brake fluid? Replacement interval?

I have my brake fluid flushed every 3 years regardless of miles. I am in a humid area.

every 2-3 years should be a good place for interval (irrespective of mileage IIRC); I use Amsoil brake fluid every 2 years, but Valvoline DOT 3 (napa auto) is good if you don't have the preferred customer discount with Amsoil. I use Valvoline if I don't have any Amsoil on hand for whatever I'm needing flushed at the time with good results.

I think most brake fluids (racing aside) are similar for dry and wet boiling points which likely won't be nearly achieved with our trucks. Fresh fluid is more important IMO than brand.

My passenger side headlight has a dried, darker appearing liquid stain and some hazing on the inside of the housing. 2020 HE with 60k miles. CPO + extended...so the coverage should be there. Am I wrong to think this is not ok for a 4 year old car of the price? I don't think I'll find much luck at a dealer...with other manufacturers you can call corporate to grease the skids a little to get the work approved if it's something that really shouldn't be happening to the car but he dealer won't approve...

Manufacturers love to tell you headlight housing fogging is normal, but this doesn't clear and it's more of a haze + stain. Other side is starting to do it.

Anyone else experience/not unreasonable to point out to Toyota?

Edit: I'm not sure what they use to smoke the HE housing, but it looks like my mascara is running.

It's frustrating when they don't hold up their end when you go with a good faith (IMO legitimate) problem.

yeah I may have worded that poorly, I haven't even given it a shot yet...I just KNOW I have the coverage should they want to not give it to me raw and that they're likely to not give two craps about it.

I was basically trying to get a gauge how hard you guys thought they'd tell me to pound sand, or if any previous experience on the matter...though I agree that it is outside of normal aging imo.

Just make sure it's the DOT 3 (or DOT 3/4) stuff. Verify this, but I think our rigs want DOT 3.

Yes. Not much reason to run dot 4 and deal with it’s quicker water absorption.

It ain't pretty, but it sits somewhat firmly once you bend the corner bits over the metal ledges in that area.

I didn't get the impression that there's much ingress there. Have never looked closely...but maybe someone wants to drop a snake camera in there. It's already too late in the day to touch vehicle here, or I'd do it m'self.

Maybe we can shrink one of those Chinese machine gun dogs down and have it patrol as sentry in the valley.
