I want to keep my Maxtrax locked. What's your favorite lock? I have a small cheap master lock for now, but I'm not really loving it.

That's what I use - I have like 10 of 'em keyed alike. My mounts need to be lubed, so even if you get the lock off you still would need a pair of plier to turn each post. 😂 I think with Maxtrax the key is to keep it from being easy - if someone wants something bad enough, they're gonna take it. If they come with a cutoff wheel looking for your CATs, zipping through the Maxtrax studs is child's play.

My SQOD... there's no way to get new Rock Warrior wheels from Toyota anymore, correct?
It used to be that you had to go through the dealer, and they would only fulfill the order if you had a TRD VIN. There are almost always some for sale out in private party land, however. That being said, I sold mine after moving to Vectors so I could dump the spacers for 285/75/17's (at least I think that's how that went)

It's just hard to find cleaner sets. So was just curious if they can be bought new. Even if that was possible, I'm sure it would be $$$

The whole panel pops off, it’s only clipped in. Probably get a better idea how it’s attached by removing the panel and looking at it from behind.

Thank you! You gave me all I needed. Was able to deduce the rest from inside like you said. Always feels good when a 15 minute job takes 15 minutes.

I've been meaning to ask this one for a few days:

Anyone take a stab at reducing, or notice the hood flutter at faster end of highway speeds? 65-70.

Usually the hood stops need adjustment if this happens. i.e. the hood is loose.

No hood flutter here. It has a tendency to sink at left/driver front, I end up screwing that rubber support by the battery/light out a couple times a year.

I guess what my question is, you made these adjustments and your hood is now stable, or your hood has always been stable?
I got the vehicle at 105k and have added 100k. Stable the whole time.

I had flutter and recently turned the left (driver side) hood support/rubber counter clockwise to address the issue. Rock solid at 80+ now

thanks for the tip...any rough idea how many turns? Turn until snug? Or just adjust and test until desired result achieved.
